Conduit, or Wall Street Loans:

Conduit loans are generally the Wall Street, large money securitized loans. When the deal gets very large, no single bank or institution will want to put this on their books, as the risk exposure for the one single loan can be detrimental to the institution. (Bank officers are well aware that they can get sued by their shareholders for taking on lopsided risk.)

Wall Street, with it's ability to securitize the loans (selling shares or securities in that loan) has the ability to spread the risk over multiple investors, and therefore can go to much larger numbers. And often, even Wall Street will bundle this with several other investment or securitizing firms.

We have several conduit firms that we've worked with on larger deals. Give us a call to discuss your situational need.
